Great customer service and quality. Very professional and always responds to email within 24 hrs. (sometimes it seemed within a few minutes on almost every single email). He was also responding to emails and phone calls when Hurricane Harvey hit too! I ended up replacing my entire roof with my neighbors after the hurricane due to multiple leaks in everyone’ homes, and he was able to walk through what exactly he was going to do, and explain the issues he saw via the drone video he recorded for everyone. We also had large equipment in our driveways that blocked exiting traffic, but they always gave us a notice prior and always moved equipment out of the way by early evening, so it was never an issue. Houston hasn’t had a big rain since the roof has been completed and the time of this post, but they do come with a warranty, so I don’t expect 1) any issues, and 2) if there are issues, I believe they will come fix it right away. Overall, very satisfied and would recommend to friends and family.

The easiest way to tell if your roof needs repair or replacement is to look at it. You should be able to spot broken or missing shingles. Look for subtler signs, such as roof tiles curling or damage around corners and chimneys. Inconsistent coloring could indicate moss or water damage.
Jack came out to my house, did an estimate. My husband really liked him so we decided to go with him. I called him and he said would call me back within the hour about a opening on Dec2. That was over 2 weeks ago. I have called him several times left several messages and he has not called back at all. So i have now sat over 2 weeks needing a roof thinking this person was coming and nothing.

Picking the color of your shingles from a brochure of sample shingles may not produce the result you want and once the shingles are installed they are going to be there for a while.
Materials and Labor on A Pro-Rated Basis: This type of warranty covers materials and poor workmanship, but only for a diminishing amount for the life of the warranty. For example, if your roof had issues and needed work toward the end of its warranty, coverage would only be a fraction of what it once was, leaving you responsible for all costs above that amount.

Usually a high school diploma or GED are not required, either. Most roofers learn their trade on the job, but there are also a few who learn through apprenticeship programs.

Yes, shingles can be applied over an existing roof. This approach can save you money, since you won’t have to pay a dump fee for getting rid of the existing roof. It also cuts down on installation time, and the additional layer can provide extra protection during storms. But before installing shingles over an existing roof, it’s important to make sure the roof can support the additional weight that comes with having two layers of roofing in place.

If a storm knocks a tree down onto your home, safely evacuate until a roofing contractor can assess the structural damage and perform emergency repairs. Also put a call into your homeowner’s insurance agent so he or she can determine if you should file a claim. Take pictures of the damage and keep receipts of any work you perform yourself, like covering a hole in the roof.

Replacing the rotted wood sheathing would be the best course of action as this will prevent the problem from spreading and worsening. Some of the shingles might also need replacing since broken or damaged shingles are the common cause of rotted wood sheathing. Since damaged shingles allow water to seep into the sheathing, the latter rotted causing water leakage. Thus, it would be best to have the shingles and the sheathing be replaced
Leaking roof valleys will often run down through the roof frame. The water stain will show on the ceiling and attic. These areas should be inspected regularly to ensure that that is no leak on the valleys since this area is prone to leaking due to its form, angle and level.

No way!!!! My mother had Jack the Roofer (Jack himself) out to her house and we had leaks in my brothers room. He charged us $1200.00 to do what???? Ill tell you exactly… TO POUR TAR ALL OVER OUR ROOF which looked HORRIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL. And the worst part…. it continued to leak once the first rain… So my mother calls Jack and what did he do to fix it?? He poured more tar!! I felt like I was at a field trip to the La Brea Tar Pits!!! My poor mom is a single mom, I was so disappointed by what seemed like this nice guy who brought his cute dog everywhere with him… When my fiance finally checked out what the deal was it was embarrassing.. It looked horrible and then all the sudden Jack was unreachable. what a sign of poor workmanship. We had to hire someone completely new to FIX someone elses mistakes. Save yourself the time. I am not one to badmouth others but I would not wish this experience on my worst enemy.
Flashing repairs are needed if water leakage is apparent but the shingles are intact and there is no visible moisture buildup on the attic. Since flashing is usually hidden underneath the rows of shingles, damages to it are not noticeable at a glance. Hence, leaking on the roof should be inspected up close to ensure that the flashing is not the one causing the leak.
